The Residence Card is your essential key to digital and financial autonomy in Korea. Applying promptly is critical to avoid fines and maintain your legal status.

Application Methods

Online (via KISF)
Prioritized, pick-up at OIA.
Fee: 40,000 KRW

Individual Visit
Requires appointment.
Fee: 30,000 KRW

Required Documents

The following documents are required regardless of the application method:

Required only for Change of Status applicants.

Residence Document Guide

Dormitory: Confirmation of Dormitory Residence (from University).

Off-campus (Lease): Standard Lease Contract in your name.

Shared Housing: "Confirmation of Accommodation" from the legal tenant + copy of their ID card.

AirBnB/Guesthouse: Printed receipt/confirmation from the provider.

Application Procedures

Option A: Online (KISF) (Recommended)

Digital Application Apply via KISF platform (Select SGU, Foreigner Registration) and upload documents.

Remittance Pay the 40,000 KRW fee via online banking or bank visit.

Fingerprint Scan Visit the Immigration Office (no appointment needed for fingerprinting) when notified.

ARC Pick-up Collect your card at the OIA office once processed.

Option B: Individual Visit

Appointment Make a reservation via HiKorea (apply as "non-member").

In-person Submission Visit your jurisdiction's office with all documents and 30,000 KRW (cash).

Fingerprint Scan Complete fingerprinting during your appointment.

Card Receipt Pick up your card in person, or request home delivery (+5,000 KRW).

Critical Reminders:

Quarantine: Do not visit the immigration office during your 14-day quarantine period.
Cash: Individual visits require the application fee in cash.
Address: Ensure your accommodation address matches your submitted documents exactly.
